Dance Dynamics Theatrical and Performance School is built upon, and guided by, the following principles:

•All of our students are unique and have inside of them a special gift of expression that is unique to them. Our role in teaching your child is to not only teach them dance technique, but to inspire them to reach their dancing goals.

•A great teacher knows when to support a student, when to nurture and encourage, and when to challenge a student. Effective teaching requires a balance of all of these elements.

•We not only teach dance of the body, but dance of the mind by developing within our student’s a powerful focus and confidence within themselves.

•We believe that success is not measured by a trophy. Success to us is the dancer who improves, overcomes limiting fears and the hero who comes home from competitions unmoved by the drama! We strive to be the best we can be for ourselves.

•We encourage all students to participate in more than one class per week and it is also to be acknowledged that students will only improve according to the amount of effort they put in at home as well as in the class room.

Informed by these principles, we aim to …

•Provide the best possible tuition for your child, ensuring all teachers have trained extensively in their field. We believe that great teachers are much more than great dancers and so we also ensure that our teachers love teaching, are committed to their students and are effective communicators.

•Cater for those seeking a career in the dance industry, as well as lifelong friends of the arts. Our school is structured to support all levels of performers from the beginner to the professional.

•Give students a sense of achievement by providing opportunities to both set and achieve goals through concerts, performance, examinations and assessments.

•provide further training for students in;
(i) Personal development courses
(ii) Teacher training and mentoring programs
(iii) Specialised classes for those keen students wanting a career in the dance industry
(IV) Theatre etiquette and performance art

•Ensure that class time is for the student. Parents are welcome to watch the last class of term one and three only. If your child is not ready to participate without mum or dad watching, then we would be happy to welcome them when they are.
